From my experience, 20k km should be the service interval for normally driven SST. Any trackwork or harsh driving will cut that down to 10k. Believe me or not if you like, but I wouldn't even think of taking that risk with this gearbox. Here is my ralliart, with 13,000km old fluid and filter getting...

595-RSR is pretty good value for money, or a KU36. Similar treadwear so they will last (done 10,000km on my 595 with 4mm left), and good wet and dry grip once they warm up a tad.

Youd want to buy something built from 2011 onwards though, as several 2009 and some 2010 models have had gearbox issues, which involved replacing major parts or even the entire transmission. If youre buying something with more than 50K, make sure the SST fluid and filter have already been changed. ...

I do evo and ralliart tuning in Sydney as well.

ECUtek certainly can be unlocked and/or removed quite easily nowadays.

I'd probably be inclined to go backwards to an evo 5 or 6 for the rawness.

All the euros tend to feel a bit disconnected, are overly expensive to modify and maintain and just don't have the same appeal as an older evo. Plus they handle like animals...

Nup. One fitting will be in, the other will be an out - same as how the oil filter works. I just can't remember if the inner thread or the outer cavity is the high pressure feed (into oil filter).

Maybe not on 98 on stock turbo, but there sure will be a difference when you get up above the 200-210wkw mark on e85 or evo x turbo. If the dp is only 150 to make or buy, it is a nice future proofing upgrade which will show slight gains on stock ralliart turbo...

Make sure you put the sensor in the high pressure side of the sandwich plate too to make sure it's actually getting the flowing oil temps. I can't remember which one is the high pressure side though!

Sorry to hijack!

Yes that hyperflow looks good. It will still be loudish though! Might need another resonator in it to shut it up. If you're thinking of doing a high flow cat on stock exhaust, I'd go for a 3" down pipe and 3" cat pipe as this will give the best gains and have it ready for more power when y...

Anything with a transverse muffler will work better at keeping noise down than straight through mufflers. So look for one with the large single rear muffler similar to the stock exhaust.

Don't go thinner. Unless your actually off road, there will be no issues with the 6mm.

My rallyarmor flaps are awesome and haven't damaged anything. I did accidentally rip one side off reversing onto my ramps a while ago. Just pulled them off without any damage. Screwed it straight back on.
