OK, I have had time to do some research, and here are the results: Our Lancer CJ actually uses two different frequency OEM horns (probably 410Hz and 500Hz), one up high in front of radiator just right of centre, and another down low behind the bumper on the left, right of the fog light. Unlock drivers door only?
Hi, I would like to be able to unlock the drivers door only when entering my Lancer CJ VRX, rather than unlocking all doors, for better security. The only posting I have found on the topic was at: http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t48751-couple-q39s-about-info-screen-and-how-to-set-how-doors-unlock.h...

JazzyB, Yes you are right about the theory, the interesting part is how much difference in road noise moisturizing rubber tyre walls and door seals can actually make. It is not something you find people discussing much online. Have you, or anyone else noticed any significant noise reduction from this?

Yes SpunkyBob, sometimes it is an expression of anger I must admit, in which case our cheeful little CJ horn does not really fit the bill. More importantly, when used in its main role as a warning, our cheerful CH horn could also be improved upon. I had in mind something a bit louder and a bit more ...

Louder horn for CJ?
Hi everyone, Has anyone replaced their standard horn with a louder more imposing horn that they can recommend? Is it illegal to fit a louder horn? In terms of mounting the new horn and making the electrical connections, and is it necessary to increase the standard fuse value for the horn? Is it easy...

Driving a CVT - after 6 months.
When you are accelerating from lights and you see the cars beside you lurching with each gear change, fixed gears seem really primitive all of the sudden. Driving up steep winding roads is a completely transformed experience. Having become familiar with particular mountain roads for years in a manua...

... that you can stop your Lancer paint chipping easily?
Like many other CJ Lancer owners, I discovered that my paint was chipping at an alarming rate within the first week of bringing it home. After putting on a protective paint finish myself that includes paint softeners I happen to notice that very few additional chips have accumulate in the 6 months s...

Knox City shopping centre carpark Victoria
We should see what we can about this type of activity, at least exposing it here on this forum is a start. I had my VRX comprehensively milk-shaked (covered in some sticky milky thick white and red drink) at Knox city shopping centre carpark (undercover, SE corner, before 5:30 pm on a Sunday afterno...
