Re: '09 Ralliart - BZC-45S

Nah, I never bothered selling direct. I have enough of a headache trying to selling second hand online stuff with time wasters and scammers I don't really have the time or energy to be dealing with what I presume would be the target market for a cheap performance car (lots of <25yo joy riders wantin...

Re: '09 Ralliart - BZC-45S

10+ years later, the chapter closes. Hello - old school folks might remember me. I'm Chi, I was pretty active at the Sydney meets about a decade ago, when I first got the Ralliart. The car's accumulated a heap of mods over the years. I ran pretty much the GST basemaps flashed on with a Tactrix on th...

I yield from the iOS world of phones/tablets and even when pigs fly I won't ever consider an Android device; so for Apple users - Bluetooth is a no go, only wifi adapters will work. I recently bought a Vgate iCar version 2 (there's a newer version 3 out with a faster ARM chip in it, but I've found v...

Followup - yep, officially got the EPA 'defect' notice. Unlike other police issued infringements, there is no recourse, no way to contest or fight this. I tested 85db max by the side of the road, now I have the notice saying EPA officer 'reasonably suspects' my vehicle emits excessive noise, and tha...

Thread digging. I'm surprised that link is still valid. Read up on that PDF, read up on the EPA testing regulations too. For CJ Lancers, should be max noise emitted at 4kRPM, being a 4 cyl; not to exceed 90db (as it's manufacturered after 1982). I got pulled over by highway patrol recently, subjecte...

Any car first sold after Jan 1 2010 should have fixed price services at Mitsu dealers (for upto 5 years anyway, so newer would be better if you're worried about service costs). Oil changes are specified in the service manuals at 7500km, or for newer year models, 5000km. Judging by the user posts on ...

Clutch replacement is such a big expense so if people have good experience, the dealer should be named so that others can go there for clutches and timing chains even if they are out of warranty. Northshore Mitsubishi looked after me and my gearbox (clutch basket and flywheel hub assembly changed)....

WTF is that ESS?? Whats the purpose over the existing EMERGENCY indicator button / flashes...? My understanding was, ESS is a new 'active safety' feature (that does nothing more than boosts bullshit theoretical crash ratings) flashes the brake lights and/or hazards when the car is under heavy braki...

Keen to not stand around in the rain... ;) BOM 95% chance of showers, so I'd say it's going to be wet.

Dennis, sidenote: I made a horrible mistake with your black ViralVinyls sticker... I stuck it on black backing and hence it cannot be seen. :(

Known RA issues that are widespread: Timing chain (early models) SST clutches shuddering/slipping or otherwise behaving badly. (All) High pressure fuel pump relay (all models) ACD pump (cold climates - not so much Australia) And then there's issues dependent on factors of each individual example.

South Coast is Ulladulla or Bateman's Bay. Bega is bumfuck nowhere and next to Hay in terms of possible activities.

I don't understand why Tassie was 86'ed; likelywise Jindabyne. Now I don't understand how 'South Coast' suggestion turned into 'Bega'.
