In that case, did you know... The AWC selection of tarmac, gravel and snow are merely user settings for front/rear wheel drive bias for the drivetrain? Tarmac = rear wheel bias. Gravel - neutral 50:50. Snow = front wheel drive bias. Front wheel drive mode will also result in better fuel consumption....

Bridge climb lower cost alternative: the southern pylon lookout: http://www.pylonlookout.com.au/ You get the same awesome views over Sydney city, you can wave to the bridge climbers as you're right next to them (across several lanes of traffic below) plus you can take your camera with you, and don't...

My first oil change - 5600kms after purchase. OEM filter and Mobil 1 0W-40. Existing oil was Castrol Magnetec Pro 5W-40 put in by the dealer, that caused the engine to sound rough/harsh at the high end, and I would avoid revving it past 4krpm for that reason. I didn't really fully trust the protecti...

Very nice write up Sam. I'm running Osram Nightbreakers, they're in the +90 brighter range like the competitors - I'd place the brand in the same premium category at Philips and Narva, being made in Germany. Keep in mind Joel, any bulb that outputs a brighter light will not last as long as the stock...

The RA logo is pretty spiffy IMO. It's red - and it's on the front of the car half hidden in the grill. Perhaps a cursory glance of their rear view mirror from the driver of the car in front they'll mistake it for the red strobes of an undercover car. To complete the effect, have one at each ends of...

Just a question... Has the castrol edge sport been renamed as castrol edge titanium? Cant find sport anywhere... Technically, Castol claims it's an improvement with the 'titanium' moniker, the cynics will tell you it's the same stuff in new packaging for a higher price. I did notice one of the bigg...

Tried and failed to install replacement foglamp bulbs. Vaguely remembered this how-to guide I read online some weeks back. Proceeded to blindly remove the grill covering the fog lights. Darn thing wouldn't unclip after removal of screws, and I didn't want to exert more force cos it's all plastic and...

Received letter from finance co, saying my car loan's paid off in full, and they've released their security hold on it. It's only been 2 months since purchase, but horrendously high 17.88% interest rates tend to make me prioritise paying it off. Which means now I'm free to start thinking about mods ...

80 watts is kinda significantly more than the default 55. I guess if it weren't your low beams, ie. high beams or fogs that gets occasional short term use, it should be fine. But I dunno about 80 watt main lights. It could start to melt the plastic reflectors and/or short your wiring. I'd be weary -...
