Supplemented the boot light with a strip of LEDs underneath the parcel shelf. Can now see things when they're in the boot! Complete with neat little plug for when taking the shelf out.

As much as I hate speed cameras, especially concealed ones, legally theres no excuse for speeding and therefore I cant blame the police for using sneaky tactics. You shouldnt need to speed to overtake someone going under the speed limit on the freeway, that makes no sense  Normally I agree wi...

He lives in Sydney with my folks. I'd get a bunny if they weren't illegal in Qld... https://fbcdn-spho...

Insured with AAMI. Jokers at NRMA wanted $1604 renewal, I called them up and asked if it was a typo and they 'couldn't do anything'. Didn't even suggest lowering the value a bit or increasing excess to bring it down. Called up AAMI and did $842 with similar excess and agreed value, even discounting ...

Oh that sucks, pets come and go, but in time you can look back and smile at all the funny times together.

I would definitely tell them - you don't want to risk having a payout or repair turned down. Even if it had no influence on the claim an insurer can refuse to play if the vehicle wasn't 'the same' as what they had agreed to insure. All insurers are different - some automatically cover anything witho...

I dont consider sediment etc to be a big issue. Petrol is VERY clean, and the tank is always being shaken. Ive always thought the rule was just dont run out of fuel not dont get really close. I feel the same, the fuel pump is filtered, the fuel rail is filtered, and the fuel pickup is at the bottom...

Holy crap! This thread is delivering the info :) See, I wondered whether 55L meant the tank itself, tank and lines to the engine, return lines from the engine, the filler neck... I wouldn't've thought it possible to fill up that much, but looks like 55L might actually be the usable capacity. How goo...

Christ Alex, I think you're winning - 72km after second warning! It's 16km for me between home and work, so I usually run down to the first warning and then fill up, but depending on what fuel vouchers I have and what side of the road the servo is on (and whether I feel like stopping), it can stretc...

What is the most you've fuelled up?

Just curious as to how empty people have ever run their cars? A few times I've gone until the blue bar is completely gone and the warning flash speeds up. Last night I went 8km in traffic after the fuel bar was gone, it took about 47L until the pump stopped and then I pulled the nozzle out and kept ...
