Re: Evo x Turbo upgrade

GTP712 probably the best turbo to run with an 18 or 22 psi Turbosmart actuator and ID1300 injectors with AEM300 fuel pump.

Re: CJ vs CF Front bumpers

If you are buying second hand then the 2.4 is the way to go, and the CJ ecu is tunable.

Re: 2011 Ralliart turbo upgrade

For the sort of power goal you mentioned, the stock EvoX turbo with a decent intercooler will do just fine. An ExoX or HDi intercooler will do nicely. Most so called cold air intakes for your car are rubbish and a pod filter setup is not the best option. The stock airbox is fine with a Cosworth filt...

Re: looking at buying

The slow launch thing is eliminated with a good tune.
Lancers dont need much modding to wake them up.
Which, when I think about it, has always been the case with Mitsi engines right back to the 1400 Saturn engine vintage 1972.

Re: Merlin TUNING REPORT

This particular car achieved higher engine load figures than the stock setup typically achieves, so possibly yes. It did have a better exhaust system so that is a contributing factor too. It certainly did not cause any negative effects, however I think the filter could be replaced with a larger unit...

Merlin TUNING REPORT

Tuning Report, Thursday October 4th: Had an enjoyable tuning session with a chap from QLD in his 4B11-5MT Lancer. He has fitted his car with an AEM intake system, one I have never tuned before. As some of you will know I am generally not a fan of of aftermarket "cold air intakes" as they s...

Re: Your Perfect Ten Car Garage?

This is tricky, and I am with Darryl on a lot of this, but here goes: 1 Audi R8 - because you need something with style and sound 2 Mk2 Ford Escort Grp4 - just because 3 Lancia Stratos - anything I say here will be superfluous 5 Something I can tune and hotrod to the max for hill climbing etc eg Mit...

Re: NA lancer review

I never liked the feel or driving experience of the electric power steering models as I got no feedback through the wheel. The earlier models were ok and a set of decent rubber sorted most of the issues. One of our QLD members is doing insane track times in his NA Lancer, no handling issues there. S...

Re: Looking for advice for personalised plates

I would be surprised if you got $200 for them. Your typical Lancer owner is generally not flushed with frivolous spending cash - and definitely not if the wife gets to hear about it first.

Re: EOI: SA Merlin tuning trip July/August 2017

There are two tuning features I would like to be able to offer for this next trip: 1. Total elimination of the EGR function. 2. Elimination or tuning of the 2nd gear throttle limiter function. Now I am not 100% sure but I dont think this 2nd gear throttle limiter is present or active in the earlier ...
