*CLOSED*: Takeda 2.4L SRI GB

Was thinking of organising a group buy through Advance Speed Shop for the Takeda SRI, shown here: http://www.advancespeedshop.com/takeda-cold-intake-20092011-mitsubishi-lancer-pntr4203p-p-16290.html The guys over at 9glancers are raving about them, with gains of up to 15HP (dyno proven) from stock. ...

Front lip options...

I'd like to fill out the space between my front air dams. What I'm after ideally is something similar to the Roar Front Bodykit: http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/2372/img7331pq.jpg But without the flares on the sides. Basically just a one piece front air dam. I've seen the V/C-Lip, and they're not...

Got my car back from the painter with the lip spoiler fitted. Love it. Just need to get myself some new badges from Mitsu.

If you drive a standard Lancer, then I would agree. I think you have the definition of bogan quite backwards. I would have to disagree with the Lancer comment. If no one modded their cars to look "modded", the "tuner" / after market would be dead and that's a pretty large indust...

For future reference - the wiring loom plug did indeed exist on the ES - but the boot button didn't work. They didn't care though.

Hmm... what happened to my posts?

Thanks Chubb. I wasn't sure whether the boot button function might just be hard wired into the locking mechanism alone. Maybe not.

Fitting a boot button to an ES...

I've found someone who wants to swap my VRX boot with their ES. I'm happy to give them the boot button, but I want to know whether their ES will have the connection in the wiring loom so that they can actually use it (otherwise, I suspect they may turn me down). Otherwise, is it one of things you ca...

Maybe I'll be best to get the lip spoiler and boot button drilled and installed by someone else. I don't see the rest being a problem for me though.

Any idea on a (rough) time frame?

Advice on boot swapping...

Should receive my ES boot lid in a couple of days. I was curious to know if there is anything I should know about the actual swapping process and the installation of my lip spoiler. 1. How long will it take (roughly) to swap over all the electrics and trim bits from my existing VRX boot to the shell...

I've had this very discussion with friends before. My conclusion is that people just prefer their cars not to be lonely. Don't know why, I definitely prefer mine being lonely and out of the way of the carelessness of others.

Buying interstate...

I'm looking at prices to get a Lancer interstate - they appear to be much cheaper (up to $2K) than NSW. Is there anything I need to be aware of before I take the plunge? For instance, I've heard something about there being an extra stamp duty (on top of the standard used car stamp duty) to get your ...
