Re: 08 RA with under 100,000ks

I would go nuts and get a full respray done of the entire outside. I have seen places that do it for about $2500 and seen some examples of their work and it's definitely worth it He said I could have the car for 12k if I take it as is (unregistered, not serviced, clear peeling on roof) or 15k after...

08 RA with under 100,000ks

Hi all, I'm an OG club CJ member from the start of this forum and thinking of buying another Lancer but this time an RA Lancer. I've found one locally that's been off the road since 2018 (it's 100% stock, older owned) and it's been in storage as they have been travelling Australia. It's blue but the...

Re: How's the forum these days

My first CJ was an 08 ES (brought new in December that year) I didn't care about the extra features from the VR and VRX because I knew I would change it all out. Remember the first VRX and aspire was a 2.0 not the 2.4 and I didn't care about the body kit etc. So the es was a lighter vehicle = faster...

Re: How's the forum these days

Well I need to chat with my wife and see what my non existent budget is. I see a few ralliarts for around 10k so maybe (extremely unlikely) it could happen. Otherwise I'll get a vrx. Since I had min it see a whole bunch of other models (SX etc.) And I have no idea what they have over the es, vr and ...

Re: How's the forum these days

Not many of us old folk around anymore. Most have sold their cars and moved on. *facepalm* I do remember you though! Many years ago there was some "issues" with some of the founders and I think a bunch of people left then. Glad some of the OC are still around though.. we had the first CJ ...

How's the forum these days

Hi all. I'm Pierre (spunkybob) and I was one of the original members on this forum. Are any of the old crew still around? I sold my lancer is 2012 when my daughter was born and I never drove much as I was catching the train to work. Thinking about buying another one and starting the mod train again....

Re: What did you do today?

Had some happy thoughts of my old CJ lancer and this forum and decided to login and see what's happening. Brought my lancer new in October 2008, sold it with 213,000ks in Mid 2013 I think. Was a great car. Are any of the original clubcj.net crew still around? Miss the old days. Guess nobody knows wh...

Rotor upgrade/replacement

Hi All, My rotors need machining and I have already done it in the past so I am looking to replace them as the cost seems about the same. I was wondering if either of these would be OK as I just drive on the road and sometimes the local national parks. RDA Drilled/Slotted or DBA Standard Thanks guys...

@Feral: Thats why I said my clutch is fine, it doesnt slip and it releases almost strait away. They told me due to water but thats BS becasue it was driving fine untill it just stopped/broke. At first I was thinking the synchros in the gearbox becasue it was hard to change gears, but i never miss a ...
