Re: rear door clip's?

You should be able to pick them up from a spare parts store. They look the same as most Japanese car trim clips

Re: Have you ever lost a brake pad?

Very strange.... who fitted the pads ? Were they correct pad? Do you have any photos? Did the outer pads have a big stainless steel comparateur assurance chat retaining clip on them? I think there is a similar thread, but I think its less serious more fun. Oh and I added a couple of bits. No you're...

Re: Aircon randomly not working.

So you have a fan problem, possibly it's the resistor in the fan.You should be able to pick up a second hand fan reasonably cheap.New ones are around $160 on eBay

Re: Aircon randomly not working.

They have a low pressure cut out so the compressor won't operate if the gas pressure is too low. There will be a leak somewhere so it's a trip to the air con guy unfortunately
Also check the cabin filter isn't full of crap this doesn't help either.

Receiver/ drier is basically a water trap and a filter. The system needs to be degassed to replace it then regassed and leak tested

Re: Strange noise after timing chain & oil pump replacement

You need to take it back to them again and demand to have it fixed.Did they have a look at the drive belt and tensioner?

Re: 2008 Lancer CJ VRX - Build thread

As Bumblebee said you are wasting your money with the K&N sri. There has been a huge amount of development and testing by our club members in this area.If you want to do it then go ahead it's your engine.

Re: Strange noise after timing chain & oil pump replacement

Re: Strange noise after timing chain & oil pump replacement

If the oil pump was the initial failure there could be damage to the crankshaft and bearings also maybe damage to the camshafts where they run in the cylinder head. This is why they need to do an oil pressure check. My money is still on something not right in the timing chain area.
