CJ is the prefix code released by mitsubishi.
the previous prefix was CH for the 2006 version (old model).
CY04 is the chassis model number for the new Lancer worldwide.

OK just to clarify i looked it up, it is illegal to mount it on the side BUT if the Evo X mounts it there from stock you can get the bracket mount it in the same position and say it is an Evo X front bar and thats where it has to be mounted and they cant do anything about it so if you get the JDM m...
