Re: 2011 Ralliart turbo upgrade

CAI will make a little difference but probably not much - I'd go the AEM one if I it were me. Just the Evo X turbo with your setup would get you to 220 - 230kw. Flex fuel and tephra rom would probably top out around 260/270 if it was on a tank just E85 Remember - the Evo X runs on the same clutch as...

Re: 2011 Ralliart turbo upgrade

Completely disagree with Mystique. The gearbox is not a 'ticking timebomb'. Mine has 280,000km's on it and runs fine, tuned to 165kw for the past 5 years. Sick of people bagging what is a really good gearbox IF you take care of it (regular 45,000km oil n filter changes). So few real issues reported ...

Re: Mods ralliart 2011

Nice. Remember to get it tuned when you change the intake Should be pushing 180kw at the wheels once you get the intercooler installed. If tuning is your thing check out the ralliart forums for ecuflash on evolutionm site For e85 you'll definitely want a new fuel pump (https://www.maperformance.com/...

As a side note read the attached about battery voltage

Was the gearbox playing up when the light came on?

Re: Replace Transmission

Hi, If they only used 4ltr of fluid then that is the issue. SST oil changes use 6 - 6.5ltrs of fluid. I have changed mine myself 6 times now and that is definitely what they take. If they only used 4ltr then that would explain the failure - for all the bad press the sst is a strong gearbox. Mine has...

Re: Vrx Or Ra

What' a Generic Rom??

The base tune on Evo M are pretty sorted and I never had any issues, nor have the half dozen or so peeps I've also flashed

Excellent on their own, excellent as a base to learn tuning (along with Merlin's awesome guide)

Re: Vrx Or Ra

If you're planning on servicing yourself then you can run the RA pretty cheaply. SST fluid either in bulk or through Ford (same fluid), specials at supercheap etc for oils n other filters. Get a Tactrix and flash one of the base tunes off evom, along with a new pill and you'll have a fuel efficient ...

Re: Rest in peace SAM-24A

That's very sad to hear. Sam put forward so much information to the forums, and I loved his often quite blunt manner when dealing with people. My condolences to his family

Hi and welcome. Just to +1 what has already been put a tune is the only way to go re improving the turbo lag. A more sensitive accelerator pedal will not change the characteristics of the car, despite their claims on their website A tune through AK and Beeble will not only improve turbo response tim...
