Re: 2008 Lancer CJ VRX - Build thread

Use a smoke machine to test the exhaust otherwise you're just taking a guess if the exhaust is sealed fully or not

Re: 2008 Lancer CJ VRX - Build thread

The exhaust shop will have the threaded inserts on the shelf to weld in place. And no doubt a centre punch to mark the hole with and a drill and correct size bit to drill the hole so the sensor go thru. An exhaust shop is an exhaust shop If they do exhaust for bombadore and found on rubbish dumps , ...

Re: 2008 Lancer CJ VRX - Build thread

Dunno how you came up with the idea that the expensive part is the O2 sensor mount. A decent exhaust shop can get this knocked up very easily. I got a 2.25" system installed with Lukey muffler and 200 cell cat from memory for around $350 In the grand scheme of things, that's quite inexpensive. ...

Re: 2008 Lancer CJ VRX - Build thread

Save your pennies up
Go talk to a exhaust shop and get a custom Mandrel bent exhaust and toss the OEM over your shoulder
With a 200cell cat your will hear and feel the difference
Even more so with a ECU tune

Re: Transmission cooler

Re: Transmission cooler

Don't touch the radiator or the radiator cap Way to many wannabe rev heads do this to EFI cars and wonder why the performance goes down the drain and it sucks fuel like no tomorrow When you shove a bigger radiator and cap on (all the top of the line wannabe go at least 10 degree cooler with the radi...

Re: Rear Diffuser

Yeah most aero bits on road cars don't really work, and even if they do won't work (or be effective) until you're well over the hwy speed limits. They are mostly there as a feel good exercise for the driver and for others to mock. I bet if I took the big VRX wing off the back I'd get better hwy eco...
