Re: Gear stick vrx
The gear stick is mounted under the centre console and is usually fairly sturdy However The centre console comes out fairly easily The gear knob in the manual will unscrew In some of the CVT the gear knob will unscrew and some of the CVT the gear knob need to unclip and lift up There was a document ...

Re: What DONT you like about your Lancer?
Mmm Modern technology So the $55,000 car from VW is better then the $20,000 car from Mitsubishi. Wow, didn't see that one coming. Dude , your comparing pineapple to peaches here. However I'm more then happy with my lancer. Yes I won't beat a Ferrari or Lamborghini , however, they if they can afford ...

Re: Finally cracked 400,000 kms.
Yup You will need one of the mini cat to out over the rear O2 sensor The O2 sensor , think of it as your nose. It lets you smell a variety of smell. The rear O2 sensor is used to smell the exhaust after it goes thru the cat. It does this and the measurements are converted to a voltage.from memory it...

Re: Finally cracked 400,000 kms.
All good Robin hood If you decide to get the cat swap done might be wise to shove a mini-cat on the rear sensor, the ECU will eventually crack a sad. Fireup Google and search on O2 sensor mini-cat Make sure to get the one with the honeycomb inside , don't get the hollow core. https://www.carmodsaust...

Re: 2009 Lancer Auto Tramsmission Fluid Change
To the best of my knowledge the CVT on the 4b12 and 4b11 is identical
Having said that I'm sure I stumbled across a reset of some kind the other day for CVT fluid in something's
I have a feeling it may have been mmcoding writing software where I saw it , but don't quote me on that

Re: 2009 Lancer Auto Tramsmission Fluid Change
Do you have a service manual?
I did a quick google and found this
http://mmc-manuals.ru/manuals/lancer_x/ ... dex_M1.htm
Hopefully it points you in the right direction

Re: Finally cracked 400,000 kms.
Glen Thanks for letting us know how solid and reliable the Lancer is, yours has to be the one with the most kays on the clock I have come across. The exhaust you speak of is just a small piece of the jigsaw puzzle to get the car over the deliberately detuned items that Mitsubishi have installed. On...
