Re: VIC - Spotted Thread

GReddy is a good brand, had a nice note to it, wasn't loud as you shot past. So wouldn't attract anyone's attention *mod* I like the corners, I fall asleep on long straights  The Dandenongs are a fun time out towards Yarra Valley, or up to the lookout and back down =) And a little spot ...

Re: VIC - Spotted Thread

Hey Quismiff, Stop stalking me, man... ;-) At least, I think that was you on the Sth Gippy Hwy yesterday, southbound just before Pound Road. HAHAHA! you caught up to me! I thought about it for a minute after telling the Mrs (who was driving) that I needed an exhaust like yours, then the penny dropp...

Re: Proximity Key Boot Issue?

My boot switch has always needed to be pressed 2 - 3 times before it pops, and the button on my switch, even on the Magna has required 2 presses, I believe the FOB is to protect against accidental presses so the boot doesn't pop when you press it getting the key out of, or putting them in, your poc...

Re: VRX wheels on an ES Lancer

Bulging over the rim he means, looking fat, not by much, but the standard rim is 7" on a VR-X or RalliArt, so a 9-1/4" tyre would hang over a little bit. even a 225mm tyre at almost 9" is going to look fatter than a standard tyre. The maximum recommended Tyre width on a 7" rim i...

Re: New Power Folding Mirrors for early CJ

This image is of the plug which, by part number, suits my 08 VR-X as you can see a lot of points in the moly plug, and as mentioned in other threads, there is a possibility the loom is in the car for it, you may just need to wire into that part of the etacs. https://static.baza.farpost.ru/v/1519422...

Re: Mitsubishi Lancer sport sedan.

Looks mint dude, Welcome to the forum! That is a tidy Lancer, always wondered if you guys got robbed in the power plant department with all the diesels and low CC engines, but I know that has something to do with EU standards  That looks like a VR or at best a VR-X please tell us more about i...

Re: VRX wheels on an ES Lancer

40 is the sidewall as a percentage of the width of the tyre, so 40% of 225 is a 90mm side wall, 45% of 215 is 97mm side wall
more here. You could go upto a 225/45 for a 101mm sidewall.

Somewhere on this forum is a link to a calculator that will tell you how far out it will throw your speedo too.

Re: VRX wheels on an ES Lancer

The Aspire was quite a high trim level, leather seats etc, and a 2.4l engine, the ES came with the 2.0l donk and steel wheels with hub caps. There were so many trim levels for the lancer in the end it was confusing, and now they have the three as they run out, ES, GSR, and LS. It started as ES, VR,...

Re: VRX wheels on an ES Lancer

I think one of the things car manufacturers get wrong is they try and move base model stock by sticking whiz bang bits on it, so you can buy an ES off the lot that looks a lot like the more expensive aspire, I have seen so many of these cars with VR-X kits on 16" wheels... Kinda takes the desi...

Re: Help needed!: ASC "Service Required" Error

Ford were gonna source the next Focus from its plants in China. Interesting fact, Tarifs on Chinese cars etc coming into the states were low, while the opposite direction were high. also Chinese entities are able to own and operate factories in the US while the opposite was not allowed. Volvo has a...

Re: Help needed!: ASC "Service Required" Error

Half of their problem with not caring about domestic customers here in Australia, is the fact the company has been through so many mergers in the last decade. Diamler Chrysler Mitsubishi, is now Nissan Renault Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi is the small fish here as they used to be a power house but seems ...

Re: Which service should I get?

I'm running a Sakura Activated Carbon one in my car, (I wanted the Bio Guard one), they're only cheap too I believe, (but I get them cheap), mines only been in a couple of months, so I haven't checked it, but it seems to be doing its job, only when I've been sitting behind a vehicle running rich do...
